Carola is a Senior Research Associate in the Roche Cell and Organoid Biorepository (RoCOB) team. She completed her BSc and MSc in Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at the University of Milan, Italy. After her studies, she continued for another year in the same laboratory as a Research Fellow before transitioning to Roche as an intern. She has been using human iPSCs and brain organoids/assembloids as model systems to study neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. Today, she is mainly responsible for the high-quality banking and quality control of the cell lines in the RoCOB team. Her focus is working in close collaboration with internal research groups of Roche to optimise the protocols for cell culture differentiation.
