Giovanna is a Senior Scientist working as a “Catalyst” between IHB and Roche pRED’s Ophthalmology department. She combines human 3D cell culture models, bioengineering, automation, single-cell genomics and CRISPR genome editing to investigate the biology of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and identify and test novel therapeutic targets.
