Bilgenaz is a Research Associate. She contributes to the characterisation of in vitro models as well as assay development and validation for industry applications. Before joining the IHB, she studied the intestinal epithelial barrier in autoimmune diseases and gained expertise in processing whole human gut tissue as well as working with mouse and pig tissue. She holds a BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul Technical University and pursued an MSc in Life Sciences at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea.
