Yeseul is an intern working with two IHB groups, Oganoid Gene Editing and Organoid Engineering. She is focusing on the role of genetic variants associated with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). During her studies, she worked on the gut-brain axis and Salmonella-TLR5 activation. Further, she worked on the interaction between tumour-resident bacteria and CRC using organoids and in vitro assays. She studied Biochemistry and Cell Biology (BSc) in Bremen and is currently studying Cancer Biology in Heidelberg (MSc).
