Yannick is an intern in the Organoid Gene Editing group, where he investigates the effect of microRNAs (miRNAs) on the differentiation of intestinal epithelial cells. Additionally, he will functionally assay the phenotypic effects of disease associated single nucleotide variants using pooled CRISPR screens. Yannick holds a MSc in Molecular Biosciences from the University of Heidelberg, where he functionally investigated microbial contributions to tumorigenesis using long term bacteria-organoid co-cultures.
