Antonio Santinha is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Patho-biology of Endodermal Organs group. He aims to leverage IHB’s expertise in complex models to explore translational opportunities. Antonio is particularly interested in developing high-throughput genetic manipulation tools in complex models of health and disease states, with the goal of identifying and prioritizing therapeutic targets in human diseases.
After earning his BSc and MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, Antonio moved to Basel for his PhD with Randall Platt at ETH Zurich, where he developed direct in vivo single-cell CRISPR screening technologies.
