Stefano Secchia

Stefano is a Postdoctoral Fellow. He works on implementing high-throughput screening to study gene regulatory networks in human development and evolution. His main areas of interest are single-cell technologies, developmental biology and gene regulation. Stefano studied molecular biology in Sweden and completed his Master’s thesis at the University of Chicago on the identification of epigenetic alterations in patients affected by the Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome. He completed his PhD at EMBL in Heidelberg, using single-cell profiling to study how perturbations of gene regulatory networks affect the embryonic development of Drosophila melanogaster.
