You will join Roche’s Institute of Human Biology, an organization within pRED whose goal is to harness and advance the use of human model systems in drug discovery and development, as well as personalized medicine. Our interdisciplinary research bridges academic and pharmaceutical research, connecting biologists, engineers, and data scientists.
With the continued expansion of the IHB and the upcoming move to a new building, we are seeking a new Lab Manager for organizational and lab support. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining lab spaces across the IHB, as well as directly contributing to ongoing research projects.
As the Lab manager for the IHB, you will support the establishment of a newly formed IHB, whose goal is to disrupt the traditional drug discovery process through innovative and bold ideas focused on advancing more predictive human model systems. You will help establish and lab spaces focused on human in-vitro systems, working in the newly formed Endodermal Organoid Group. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Lead Scientists of every lab to ensure the proper and compliant use of lab workspaces for the members of the teams. In addition, you will aid and/or coordinate inter- and intra- Institute lab spaces and equipment. Moreover, you will work in close collaboration with other scientists to provide access to standard operating procedures (SOP). This is a rare opportunity to be involved in supporting the creation and growth of a new and exciting environment that brings together scientists and engineers from around the world.
