Simone is an intern in the Microtechnologies group. He is working on a joint project between IHB and Universität Basel, regarding the standardization and automation of the processes of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells differentiation into osteogenic and chondrogenic tissue. He obtained both a BSc and a MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy) where he focused on Organs-on-Chip and tissue engineering.
