Johannes is an intern in the Applied Organoid Technologies group. His research investigates the impact of extracellular matrix stiffness on immune cell metabolism and function using organoid models. He brings several years of clinical and laboratory experience, including a BSc in Molecular Medicine from the University of Freiburg, an MPhil in Medical Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and a graduate medicine degree from Imperial College London. This internship forms a key component of his ongoing MD-PhD studies as he looks to translate fundamental scientific insights into future therapeutic strategies.
