Zhongyu Zou

Zhongyu Zou is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Patho-biology of Endodermal Organs group. He aims to develop generalized methods for drug and pro-drug evaluations using IHB’s unique model systems. He is broadly interested in identifying novel molecular mechanisms embedded in human cells and leveraging these knowledge to develop useful therapeutic strategies.

Zhongyu was trained as a chemist in Peking University (China) for his BSc and then earned his Ph.D. in The University of Chicago (USA) in the lab of Professor Chuan He. Zhongyu worked on pure molecular biology, neurodegenerative diseases, leukemia, UV irradiation, and method development for ultra-sensitive RNA profiling.
