Christopher Peyer is an intern in the metabolic homeostasis group. He is interested in adipose tissue and its impact on whole body metabolism, in health and disease. Chris completed both his BSc and MSc in molecular biology at the Biozentrum, Basel. During the past 1.5 years of his Masters, which was done on liver cancer, he gained hands-on experience in a wide array of biochemical techniques, such as proteomics, metabolomics, DNA/RNA sequencing, and cellular engineering, among others.
